This Week in the Writing World...January 14

by Brooke Favero
Why do I relate more to this kitten than my own characters right now? Oh wait I know, it's Friday. My eyes burn with tired trying to finish just one more scene. What keeps me up till 1:30 am? Putting my characters in peril. I love it.

What do I love most about writing? Creating stories and characters...creating worlds and imagining what could be.

I love that in writing, anything is possible!

What I love most is that zone I can get into where time has no meaning and I'm living my story. Hasn't happened for a while, but I think I need to get back to it before withdrawal sets in.

I agree with Pat. I love writing when the story takes over and begins to write itself. And I love watching the word count or knowing I've completed my commitment for the day.

And by the way, if I had that little kitten to look at, I'd forget all about writing too. Is that YOURS? What a face! If it needs a home, please let me know.
