Songs to Inspire

Music has always been an important part of my life. My dad is a professional musician, one of my brothers is a band director and my other brother is part of the praise band at his church. I started playing instruments when I was 9 and my love for music is deeply ingrained in who I am.

Music is where I turn to for comfort, energy and inspiration. Here are some songs I listen to that always inspire and motivate me to keep writing-to keep pursuing my dreams. I hope you enjoy them. What are some of your favorite inspirational songs? Leave a comment below and let me know.

Happy Listening!

Standing Outside the Fire-Garth Brooks

Suddenly I See-KT Tunstall

Somewhere Over the Rainbow-Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

Hi Kerrie,

Music inspires me to move, walk, dance...and I find that can be a great way to relax. Suddenly my plot problems disappear as exercise burns off the mental haze and allows new ideas to shine through. A great walking song is "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" sung by Cyndi Lauper.
